Weirder and weirder

My husband says each week we stumble across some new idea that we 1) embrace and 2) find that it only adds to our weirdness factor.

So, last week's great find: homemade deodorant. The recipe (from my sister...not sure where she found it) is equal parts baking soda and cornstarch and coconut oil mixed in until it is the right consistency (which for me was a little thicker than toothpaste). I tested this out in Florida, and did not find it wanting. It smells great and really works! (Keep in mind that coconut oil melts at around 76 degrees so if the house is hotter than that it will be liquidy. This happened to us in Florida, but it still worked fine.) Best of all, I have all those ingredients on hand AND we can say goodbye to Tom.
Sorry, Tom. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
