I'm here at my sister's house, talking shop and catching up (now I'm inspired to try making my own deodorant). Not too much catching up tonight though, because we'll have 8 hours in the car tomorrow. She has a gorgeous house that they've rebuilt and decorated in an enviable way. If you want to be inspired, check out the latest photos on her blog. When I get back I'm going to make some of those ginormous flowers for Adeline's room.
Cooper and I drove the four hours to her house this afternoon, and it's amazing how easy it seems to have such a capable child along for the ride. I handed him the Chick-fil-A, and he opened his own saucs, fed himself, and then cleaned up. I never thought about it again. This is almost like a vacation! It's been fun to have some one-on-one time with him...just like old times (except now he can talk, and talk, and talk).

I could help with the deodorant! If I had more time I would have already added that to my shop. Anyway, I could help you with some recipes and recommended oils. It's not really hard at all and I have a place I can get eco-friendly, biodegradable push tubes to put it in. All in good time I keep telling myself but there are a bazillion new products I am dying to try!!
Sorry I deleted the earlier post because It was signed in through Ben's account. He's not as interested in making deodorant as I am :-)
Hope you're having fun! I can't wait for my own Florida trip and long days at the beach!!
She uses equal parts baking soda and cornstarch and mixes in coconut oil until it's the right consistency. I've been using it here in Florida and it really works! No more expensive Tom's of Maine for us. :)
