DPP Day 12- fort making

Winston built this with the kids tonight, and Warren took the picture. Never mind the slipcover with the torn seam -at least you can respect the improvement over the plaid.
While the kids were merry-making in the basement, I was overhauling their rooms. One Hefty trash bag later, their treasures were pared down, clothes unearthed from dark recesses of their closets, and the paper trash was gone. They clean their rooms thoroughly every week, but they save every scrap of everything.  All I can say is that even though they look more like their mother, they have their father's I-can-make-good-use-of-anything gene. The differences lie in the fact that their father has a separate detached garage to store all of his treasures in, AND he actually does use almost everything.
