And thanks to Kate, for reminding me that I don't have to be elaborate or fussy to create an Advent activity for my preschoolers. Sometimes I'm an all-or-nothing kind of person, but per her suggestion, I've decided to jot down an activity the night before on the back of each ornament and then if we need to keep it simple (e.g., read a Christmas book) then so be it. They are only 4 and 2 yrs. old.So here's what we worked on yesterday, made out of chipboard and patterned paper.
(I don't have a mantle or even a wide doorway, so everything goes on our bookcases...)

oh wow! what a wonderful winter saturday blessing! ethan (4) has proclaimed (several times) that he would like to go somewhere that has snow. i told brian that it would have to be somewhere where neither of us had to drive! haha! enjoy your snow day.
That turned out really cute! We don't have a mantle, either...
This bathroom project has completely usurped my Christmas plans. It's hard to get festive when you have a vanity and bathroom sink (and window trim and baseboards and piles of tools) sitting in your living room.
Hopefully next week we can catch up and have a delayed Advent and pull out the Christmas decor.
Are you considering making any of those for your shop? That's such a great idea and you have your own little sweatshop of workers right there :-)

snow! i'm green with envy. we woke up this morning to our first frost. it's white but not quite as exciting.
