When I was putting Cooper to bed on Monday night I asked him to choose a song or a hymn for me to sing (per our usual bedtime routine). He took his index finger and swiped it across his forehead over and over, saying he was thinking through his list of songs, trying to decide. I guess after being around aunts, uncles, and other adults who have iPhones or droids he has decided to become an iPhone when he grows up. Kids these days.

I drove, I arrived, I collapsed
13.5 hours after leaving Florida I arrived at my house. The trip was incredibly easy and didn't seem nearly as long as it really was. I was greeted by flowers and a somewhat shy 2 year old (he was willing to give me a long hug but raced back to dad). I'm off to bed.

Partner
This is what my life would be like with only one child. He'd be the star of every picture and I'd still put him on my lap even though he's five and a half.
Mother's Day at my parents house + shrimp salad using Ina's recipe = delicious.
We actually used the sauce recipe and made shrimp salad, crab salad, and chicken salad so we could have choices. Not pictured: some amazing asparagus.
Tonight we went to a dance put on by the Classical Conversations group here in Tallahassee. Cooper danced with almost all the girls.
My little sister, Molly, who I'm apparently trying to crowd out of the picture. Molly is coming home to stay with us for about a month, so we'll have lots of chances to take pictures.
Molly and another one of my sisters, Jax. She always looks lovely.
Justin and baby Sophia pre-dance.
We're heading home tomorrow. Hoping to drive the 10 hours to my sisters house, and then get in our car and drive 4 more all the way home. That's ambitious of me, but I'm looking forward to seeing my husband and the other kids. We'll see if determination or delirium wins the day.
