First months

We are a bit late on our one-month pictures, but right on time for celebrating 2 months. Two months is only about 9 weeks since this little lady entered our lives. Seems like forever and yet barely a few moments.
One month and not many smiles yet at this point.
This was right before church- she obviously has her morning face on.

After church, but no bow.

All of Adeline's cute dresses were for the summer. We had snow today, so we are improvising with the warm weather clothes.

Her siblings are pretty enamored with her!

Monthly post

Is it that time already? Time to show my face (metaphorically) on this blog?

We are well, with an almost two-month old cutie filling our days (and nights). I'll have to post some one and two month pictures in the next few days!
March and April Fun Facts:
  • We are getting about 110 eggs a day. Time to start marketing a little harder! Check out a recipe post and poll I just posted to our Farm Blog.
  • We have a hoop house that looks like this:
Actually, ours is nicer. But anyway, it's full of plants we started from seed, and it's been a learning experience. Last year we started them in our basement under grow lights. They worked really well, and I was sold on growing plants from seed. This year, my tomatoes are on strike. Well, I killed the first batch with too much water. Lesson learned. This second time around, nothing is germinating. Maybe the third time will be a charm.
  • I finally landscaped my front yard (a little). Pictures forthcoming, but it is SO rewarding to see flowers and order out there in place of weeds and general ugliness. Many thanks to my friend, Rachel, who came over and helped me take out sod, plant pretty things, and even added a few of her own plants, mulch, and border rocks!
  • We now have three piglets that are about as big as Eleanor. She's cuter, but they are adorable for now.
Baby is crying. The afternoon tends to find me wearing her in a my BabyHawk Mei Tai. Dinner needs to be made. My room is a wreck after an unfinished attempt to organize our office area. And so I visit this blog monthly.

I will leave you with a picture from Easter...not great, but I am glad they were all so happy, even if it did make for some big mouths:
